MISSION

Empowering New Mexico's young people with the skills and support to succeed in education, employment, and life.

VISION

JAG-NM believes we should be the go-to solution among New Mexico educators and policymakers for closing the equity gaps in education, graduating students most at risk of dropping out, and preparing graduates to thrive in college, career and life.

WHO WE ARE

Jobs for America’s Graduates – New Mexico (JAG-NM) is a statewide education and workforce development program supporting students and young adults as they build pathways from school to career. We work alongside schools, employers, and community partners to ensure young people have the skills, experiences, and support needed to succeed beyond the classroom.

JAG-NM serves youth who may face academic, economic, or personal barriers by combining individualized support, career-connected learning, and real-world work experiences.

WHY JAG?

JAG-NM focuses on long-term success, not one-time interventions.

Our work is guided by consistent program standards, data-driven outcomes, and strong partnerships that allow us to adapt to local needs while maintaining statewide impact.

This approach ensures that youth receive coordinated support throughout their transition from education to employment or continued training.

JAG History

Jobs for America’s Graduates was founded more than 40 years ago to address the growing need for coordinated education-to-career support for young people. Since its founding, JAG has expanded into a national network serving students in communities across the country.

JAG-NM was established to bring this proven model to New Mexico and to respond to the state’s unique workforce and education landscape. As part of the national JAG network, JAG-NM adheres to established program standards while working closely with local partners to meet regional needs.
