
The New Mexico Career Association (NMCA) helps members explore career pathways, plan for further education, and connect with professionals in their fields. Operating like a student government, NMCA builds leadership skills and prepares members for civic engagement and workforce success.
Modeled after the JAG National Career Association, NMCA offers opportunities to gain knowledge, develop essential skills, and prepare for employment and advancement.

The NMCA Mission
The NMCA empowers students to become leaders in their schools and communities by providing a platform for student representation and advocacy, encouraging active participation in JAG-NM programs and initiatives, and promoting the development of both professional and personal skills.
Leadership Development
NMCA enhances leadership skills through workshops and training sessions, while also facilitating mentorship programs with community leaders and alumni to guide and inspire students.


Student Advocacy
Representing student interests at JAG-NM meetings and events, NMCA ensures students have a voice and provides a channel for feedback and suggestions to improve programs.
Community Engagement
NMCA fosters civic responsibility by coordinating community service projects and volunteer opportunities. It also builds partnerships with local businesses and organizations to create mutually supportive relationships.
