State Student Leadership Conference (SSLC)

The State Student Leadership Conference brings together JAG-NM students from across the state for a day of leadership development, networking, and skills-building workshops. Attendees will participate in sessions designed to enhance communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, while also learning from industry leaders and guest speakers.

How to Participate:
JAG-NM students and educators can register for the conference through their JAG-NM coordinators. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

National Student Leadership Academy (NSLA)
December 4-7
Event Description:
The National Student Leadership Academy (NSLA) is a premier event for advanced leadership development. Selected JAG-NM officers will attend workshops, networking sessions, and leadership training activities designed to enhance their skills and connect with peers from across the country.

NSLA offers an unparalleled opportunity for leadership growth and networking. Attendees will gain advanced skills, build a national network, and bring back valuable insights to benefit their local JAG-NM programs.
How to Participate:
Selection for NSLA is based on leadership performance and recommendations from JAG-NM specialists.

Travel and accommodation arrangements will be provided. Participants should prepare for an intensive program and dress in business attire for all sessions.
JAG Day at the Legislature
January - Opening Sessions in Washington DC
Event Description:
JAG Day at the Legislature offers chapter presidents a unique opportunity to engage directly with state legislators and gain a deeper understanding of the legislative process. Attendees will have the chance to participate in guided tours, attend legislative sessions, and interact with lawmakers to discuss important issues and the impact of JAG-NM programs. Chapter presidents will share the information and resources they gather with their respective chapters afterward.

This event provides valuable insight into the workings of state government and offers students the chance to voice their perspectives on educational and career development issues. It’s an excellent opportunity for civic engagement and professional growth.

JAG-NM chapter presidents and educators can register through their JAG-NM coordinators.

Career Development Conference (CDC)

Students should register for the conference through their JAG-NM advisors.

National Career Development Conference (NCDC)
